With the U.S. midterm elections fast approaching, MTV Entertainment Group wants its viewers to get ahead of the poll lines and vote early.
Today is Vote Early Day, the MTV-declared national holiday that began during the 2020 presidential election to educate viewers about early voting before Election Day. But there was more to it: MTV wanted to specifically address groups that have often been ignored by voter drives. The effort was intent on encouraging young people of color and LGBTQ+ communities to cast their first ballot.
