Former YouTube global head of top creators Laura Lee joined Twitch as chief content officer.

Prior to YouTube, she held senior content and strategy roles at MTV and NBCUniversal.

At the Amazon-owned streaming platform, Lee will establish the strategic content vision and lead the global teams for content strategy, operations, programming and streamer partnerships and development.

Twitch president Dan Clancy said in a statement, “Twitch streamers are some of the most creative and passionate content creators in the world, and our priority is to enable them to build vibrant communities on our service, doing what they love.
