Twitch revealed an overhaul and simplification of its community guidelines, stressing that the policies have not changed and remain intact.

Vice president of trust and safety Angela Hession said in a statement, “Our community guidelines are the essential foundation for setting and enforcing expectations around what behaviors are allowed on Twitch. In a live setting, it’s particularly important to ensure that these guidelines are clear, as any potential harms evolve in real-time. We can’t rely on content removal to mitigate all harm that occurs live, so we partner with our community members to help uphold our policies proactively and issue suspensions to ensure accountability when they are broken.
