What can the metaverse offer to Team Amani, a team of racing cyclists from across East Africa? Meta and ad agency Droga5 set out to answer that question with a new spot that debuted Monday.
The campaign shows how the cyclists use Meta’s family of applications to connect, motivate one another and train as they prepare for competitions across the globe, conveying the future possibilities of the metaverse and how it eventually may be used for: honing technical and physical skills and reaching new heights; accessing more people and opportunities across borders; and experiencing entertainment in new ways.
The spot closes out with the message, “When we connect beyond boundaries, everyone will go farther.”
The campaign will run on Facebook and Instagram, as well as broadcast television, connected TV and online video, with launch week placement highlights including America’s Got Talent, The Bachelorette, Major League Baseball, MasterChef and the Video Music Awards.
