Misinformation and propaganda have spread throughout Russia since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin has shut down independent media outlets, issued fines or jail terms to those spreading so-called “fake” news about the military and government—and refers to the invasion as a “special military operation.” All this means that, for many people living within Russia, the truth about the war is unknown.
To counter this misinformation, Kyiv-based creative agency Nebo partnered with global ad agency 72andSunny to develop an undercover cyber initiative that bypasses Russian censors.
