Our previous platform update was a major release that included a new setup for the players and great improvements to our live-streaming service. This time around, we are bringing some significant changes as well. We have changed our main payment processor and primary currency, improved our player ad call process for mid-roll ads, and added multiple new features. See the full Platform Update 6.8.2. changelog down below.

Main Payment Processor and Currency Change

With Platform Update 6.8.2., we have changed our main payment processor to Stripe. This will allow us to incorporate additional payment options for our publishers. We now support SEPA direct payments, direct bank transfers, and other popular payment methods per country. All current subscriptions will still be active and will continue to use our old system, so there will be no disruptions to your accounts.

In addition, the primary currency on the platform will be the euro. However, we will still support U.S. dollar payments for subscriptions and overage payments if required by the publisher.

Full 6.8.2. Changelog

New

  • Main payment processor is now Stripe, allowing additional payment options for publishers;
  • Primary currency on the platform is the euro, but we will still support the U.S. dollar for subscription and overage payments if required by the publisher;

Added

  • Support for Assertive Yield for Amazon bidding ad slots;
  • Unique GPID for each PrebidJS bidding call;
  • Timezone data is now included in our Google structured metadata embed codes;

Fixes & Changes

  • Streamlined the way our player calls mid-roll ads for a more user-friendly experience. The player will not show a black screen and stop video playback unless the ad server receives a valid ad;
  • Changed the way our player calls Google Analytics if configured to take into account the proper purposes set in the website’s CMP;
  • Improved page speed insights performance for our lightbox widgets by lazy loading initial images and videos;
  • Fixed the video preview list for dynamic playlists inside the platform;
  • Made some minor changes to our XML feeds so they get validated by W3C.
