Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Tony Vinciquerra to Step Down, Ravi Ahuja to Succeed Him as President and CEO 

In a surprise executive shuffle, Sony Pictures Entertainment chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra is stepping down from his CEO role effective Jan. 2, 2025. (Deadline)

He will hand the reins in January to a key member of his management team, Ravi Ahuja. Ahuja currently runs Sony’s global television studios, which have shepherded such hits as The Crown, The Boys, Cobra Kai, and The Last of Us. A former television executive at Disney and Fox, Ahuja joined Sony Pictures three years ago to oversee its India business and television production. (LA Times / Hollywood Inc)

Vinciquerra, who has served as Sony Pictures Entertainment’s chairman and CEO since June 2017, will remain in an advisory role as non-executive chairman through the end of 2025.
