When someone joins a Discord server, they’ll have access to a set of abilities, or “permissions,” that designate which actions they can take in the server. The server’s creator can change these default permissions at any time, and their changes will apply to every user in the server.
Our guide will show you how to change the permissions for all server members at the same time from within the Discord mobile application.

Step 1: While viewing your server’s Channel list, tap the server name at the top of the screen.
Step 2: Tap “Settings.”
Step 3: Scroll down to the “User Management” section and tap “Roles.”
Step 4: Tap “@everyone.” Note: This screen will look different if you’ve never created a custom role for your server. However, the “@everyone” option will still be there.
Step 5: Tap the toggle to the right of any permission you want to turn on or off for all members in the server. If a toggle is purple, the permission is turned “on.” If the toggle is gray, the permission is turned “off.” You can scroll down to view all of the permissions you can manage. Note: You can repeat these steps in the future if you ever want to change these permissions again.
