Are you having more team meetings than ever before? Are you finding the discussion topics either drying up or becoming more repetitive? Feel free to add some or all the below discussion points to your team meeting and conversations.  Applicable regardless of the team size, could be 2 people or 20 people.  We have recently revamped our weekly team meeting agenda to the following:

  1. Quick update on anything that has recently launched – launch issues, hick ups, delays, resolutions.
    • Do we still need to tie any lose ends?
    • Did all channels launch?
    • Did all creatives get approved?
    • Analytics flowing as they should?
    • What we are doing to fix any above-mentioned issues.
  2. Last week’s highlights/wins.
    • Successful resolutions for obstacles we faced last week.
    • Team action highlights worth communicating to senior leadership.
  3. Tests and experiments.
    • What tests are you launching?
    • Your test hypothesis.
    • Status and updates of live tests and experiments – trends, insights, preliminaries.
    •  What was the test outcome? Did hypothesis hold true?
  4. Projects.
    • Things you or your teams are doing to enable or improve something.
  5. Team news/updates/issues.
    • How is your team doing in terms of moral, work load, sufficient degree of communication.
    •  Team training and up-skilling.
    • Individual team member recognition.
    • New team members/parting team members.
  6. Challenges or blockers.
    • What limiting factors we need to be cognizant of.
    • Breakdown/simplify the challenge or blocker.
    • Resolution and workaround ideas.
  7. Upcoming priorities.
    • What is on your short term (1-3 weeks) priorities list?
    • Could be anything from any of the above (1-6) points.
    • What are the key initiatives or actions you will be focusing your effort on in the next 1-3 weeks?
  8. Who should we thank?
    • Actively give thanks, recognition and respect to anyone who helps/helped your team move an initiative or action forward.
  9. What can I help you with?
    • What are the opportunities for the team leader to provide guidance, support, or land a pair of hands to move an initiative forward or resolve a problem?
  10. Feedback from you to your team leader.
    • Share feedback, ideas, recommendations and perspectives with your team leader.
