YouTube detailed several monetization options for creators on its platform at its inaugural Made on YouTube event in Los Angeles Tuesday.

Starting in early 2023, its YouTube Partner Program will be expanded to creators who focus on YouTube Shorts, and those meeting a threshold of 1,000 subscribers and 10 million Shorts views over 90 days will be eligible to apply.

Those welcomed into the YPP will have access to all of its benefits, including ads monetization across Shorts and long-form YouTube videos.

The Google-owned video site said it will also unveil a new level of YPP with lower requirements that will give creators earlier access to monetization options such as Channel Memberships, Super Chat, Super Stickers and Super Thanks.
