TikTok revealed the global release of the dislike button for comments that it has been testing.

The video creation platform stressed that the feature was created as a way for its community to provide feedback on comments and help better identify irrelevant or inappropriate comments.

Dislikes will not be publicly visible, nor will users be able to see how many dislikes a comment has received.

People whose comments are disliked will not be notified.

Finally, users who dislike a comment can rescind their dislike whenever they wish to.
