Andrew Shimek, DISCO Chief Revenue Officer, and Kristin Zmrhal, DISCO VP of Product Strategy, said: “The industry needs more people advocating for the adoption of new technologies and digital transformation initiatives that meet the realities of today’s legal world. We’re looking forward to highlighting our experiences, and sometimes our mistakes, through the lens of litigators and legal professionals. We’re delighted to partner with our clients and industry peers to get down to what’s working and what’s not.”

The inaugural episode of Just Hearsay airs on Thursday, September 8, and will be the first in a two-part installment that looks at career trends and key insights for those looking to pursue work in legal tech. The episode features Katie DeBord, who recently joined DISCO after serving as Chief Innovation Officer for Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, discussing her path to a technology-driven career. Upcoming guests will include Casey Flaherty, co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of LexFusion, with the conversation focusing on how culture, community and collaboration can fuel positive change in the legal tech world.

“More and more of our legal audience are subscribing to podcasts to keep current about changes in our industry, and looking to understand how technology is changing the legal field, whether it’s developments in AI and machine learning or the impact of the cloud on ediscovery,” said Carlos Curbelo, vice president and legal marketing leader at ALM, which publishes Law.com. “Many of these innovations are changing how legal professionals are approaching their careers, and the need for continuing education is important to them.”
